magnificent colleges and soak up the academic and cultural history
of this ancient seat of learning. Further afield there’s
the splendid Ely Cathedral and Wimpole
Hall, a stately home near Royston.
So many places to visit in Kent, the ‘Garden
of England’. There’s Leeds Castle,
Hever Castle, Canterbury, Rochester & Chartwell (pictured), Sir
Winston Churchill’s home, to name but a few. Too
many to see in just one day. We’ll be pleased to advise
on choices.
Like Kent, Sussex offers so many opportunities
for wonderful days out that it is impossible to visit them all
in just one day. We’ve picked just a few examples. Petworth,
Midhurst, Chichester, Arundel, or Brighton at the seaside,
where you can shop for antiques in the winding ‘Lanes’ and
wander around the fabulous Royal Pavilion (pictured).
Either spend the day in one location or combine elements of two
or three.
